I’m Noah Boon, a London based Graphic Designer and Communicator, currently studying Graphic Communication Design at
Central Saint Martins.

My work is primarily typographically and photographically driven, focusing on attention to detail, a systematic and an idea
led approach.
    My practice is heavily inspired by where I was born and raised;
Aberdeen, Scotland. I use the beauty of the landscape as a source of inspiration, from my philosophy about design, or more directly in
my photography.

A Chiel I Ken

A series of postcards that focus on “where I’m from”, rather than
“where I’ve been”.
    I asked my cousin Zoe if she could write a poem in response to a quote we were given, she wrote A Chiel I Ken, which was written in Doric, a language we speak in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

The photography was taken by myself in Portsoy, Aberdeenshire and then screenprinted onto the postcards, I then letterpressed a section of the poem onto the back of some of the postcards in
Caslon Italic 12pt.

The postcards were then wrapped in cloth, then wrapped in sheep’s wool to preserve them, and to be cherished for years to come.
